This ring is great, but heavy. I have had numerous compliments on it. Because it is so heavy, if you do not have it appropriately sized to fit your finger, it can fall off when your hands are wet. It is essentially scratch proof. I had returned mine when I first bought it because I had never had a ring on that finger before and thought it might have been too tight (these rings can't be resized), so I exchanged it for one half size larger. The company gave me absolutely no problem exchanging it for the half size larger one. Well, after wearing it for about two months, my finger shrunk around where the ring sits to accommodate the ring and now it is too big when my hands are wet. As a nurse, I wash my hands a lot.Make sure you have the right size! I wish I could buy another at a half size smaller.
